New innovative Schweiss Moving Gate gives versatility
Schweiss one piece hydraulic and patented lift strap bifold doors have been on the

AMES, Iowa, April 25, 2013 – DuPont announced today a $400,000 grant to Iowa State University (ISU) for its Science Bound program that encourages youth in the state’s urban communities to consider careers in agriculture and science.

The grant will help the ISU Science Bound program to increase the number of ethnically diverse Iowa students pursuing careers in agriculture, science, technology, mathematics and engineering. The grant, funded through the company's advanced seed and genetics business DuPont Pioneer, is expected to impact more than 500 Iowa students over the next five years.

SHAFTER – Nikkel Iron Works unveiled the new 1017 model DARF hay rake at its recent national sales meeting, and will show it off to the general public at trade shows throughout the west starting in November.

The new model is in addition to the reliable model 917 rake, which has been on the market for over two decades and has become an industry leader for the California company.

The new rake is a significant upgrade to the reliable 917, with many changes and enhancements made as a result of customer feedback.

Enhancements include the upgraded Dur-Adjust Spring and Rod System and Super Duty walking beam assemblies now offered as standard features. Hydraulic hoses are now enclosed for a smoother, more efficient and maintenance-free operation; a convenient, easy access cover protects the multifunction hydraulic valve from weather and debris; and a redesigned channel lift tube support delivers trouble-free rake wheel height adjustment.
